DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials (UNAKRT) supports the operation of the Extraordinary Chambers in
the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC). The ECCC has been established by the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) to try senior
leaders of Democratic Kampuchea and those most responsible for the crimes and serious violations of Cambodian penal law,
international humanitarian law and customs and international conventions recognized by Cambodia that were committed during
the period from 17 April 1975 to 6 January 1979.

NY: Two internships with the Coalition for the International Criminal Court

The Coalition for the International Criminal Court is looking to fill two internships:

Membership Outreach Intern

The intern will assist with the CICC’s global membership drive and outreach campaign. The intern will report to the CICC Program Assistant. The fall internship can be full-time or part-time (2-3 days per week) for a period of 3-4 months. Please note the internship is unpaid.

Communications/Media Intern

The Coalition seeks an intern for its Communications Section to assist with a range of media and public-information projects. The intern will report to the CICC Head of Communications, among other Section staff. The internship can be full- or part-time (2-3 days per week) and must last for a period of at least three months, with a minimum of 20 hours per week. Please note that this internship is unpaid though full-time interns will receive a small per diem.

THE DOMAC PROJECT is hosting a Conference on the Impact of International Criminal Procedures on Domestic Criminal Procedures in Mass Atrocity Cases at the University of Amsterdam. The Conference is organized by DOMAC, in cooperation with the Project on International Courts and Tribunals (PICT) and the Amsterdam Center for International Law (ACIL). The Conference is free and open to academics and practitioners in various fields, including international law and international relations.

In addition to invited speakers, the Conference has slots for presentations, which are selected from proposals. Please find attached a Call for Papers. Deadline for abstracts is 20 March 2010.
