VA: Vice President for U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI)

U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), a nongovernmental, not-for-profit national organization dedicated to addressing the needs and rights of refugees and immigrants, is seeking a highly motivated proven leader to serve as Vice President .Responsibilities include oversight, implementation, and accountability for quality of programs and delivery of services. Evaluates and implements best practices to measure and monitor program outcomes. The Vice President nurtures and develops relationships with foundations, government and the business community to advance the mission of the organization. USCRI manages several programs through a network of 35 Partner Agencies, USCRI Field Offices and several Allied organizations. Our Partner Agencies provide legal immigration assistance to newcomers in their community and an array of social services to assist their economic and social self-sufficiency.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Vice President reports to the President and CEO and works as part of the Senior Management Team. The Vice President is responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of innovative programs, in partnership with local community based organizations of the USCRI network. Strong and significant experience in program growth, development of proposals, project design, implementation and management, is required. Ability to work collegially with other national and local organizations is a must. He/She will have budget and fundraising responsibilities. Supervises the Director of Refugee Resettlement and Employment, the Director of Field Offices, the Design and Production Manager and the Grant Writer.


REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will have
demonstrated strong leadership and
supervisory skills to work with a team
of professional and motivated staff and
an ability to function in a high energy
and fast paced work environment. The
successful candidate will have at least
five years of management and
supervisory experience in a similar
organizational structure. Ability to
successfully manage staff and achieve
quantifiable results in a timely manner
is necessary. Proven record of
program development, fundraising and
successful grant writing are essential.
Successful experience in working with
federal, state, foundation and
corporate partners is indispensible.
Demonstrated commitment to and
experience in refugee work overseas
and/or domestic resettlement is highly
valuable. Understanding and
experience of the immigration and
migration field is desirable. Strong
writing and computer skills are
necessary. Foreign language ability is
highly desirable.
