The Role of the Law School in Promoting and Protecting Human Rights

This important conference will bring together law professors and practitioners from around the globe to share experiences and exchange models and information about the ways in which law schools impact the human rights field. The conference will open with a dinner and keynote presentation by Professor Michael Tigar, celebrating his work and his move to Emeritus status at the Washington College of Law. The full day event on April 22nd will provide a forum for discussion about the challenges and successes of law schools engaged inhuman rights work, and will highlight the diverse ways in which law schools integrate human rights work into their formal and informal initiatives.
