Call for Nominations – 2008 John Humphrey Freedom Award

Rights & Democracy is currently accepting nominations for the John Humphrey Freedom Award, which is presented every year to an organization or person who has made an outstanding contribution to the promotion of human rights and democratic development. The award consists of a grant of $30,000 as well as a speaking tour of Canadian cities to help increase awareness of the recipient's human rights work.

Please note that a nomination presented last year can be submitted again this year. The deadline for nominations is April 15, 2008. To obtain information on eligibility criteria, consult our Website: www.dd-rd.ca.
