*The United Nations Genocide Convention: A 60th Anniversary Commemoration*

Rutgers Law Review, in conjunction with Rutgers Center for the Study of
Genocide and Human Rights, will host a *symposium *in commemoration of *the
sixtieth anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Prevention and
Punishment of the Crime of Genocide*.

The symposium will be held on Friday, April 4, 2008 at *Rutgers University
School of Law - Newark*, 123 Washington Street, in Newark, New
Jerseybeginning at 8:45 in the morning.


The keynote speaker will be *Juan E. Mendez*, Director of the International
Center for Transitional Justice and recipient of a 2007 Doctorate Honoris
Causa from the University of Quebec at Montreal.
