Speakers: Myint Zaw, Penny Edwards, Siddharth Varadarajan

Myint Zaw is a Visiting Scholar at the Graduate School of Journalism. An editor at Ju Publishing in Yangon, he also works for the Environmental Journalism Network that trains Burmese journalists on environmental issues. He holds an M.A. in international development studies from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.

Penny Edwards is Assistant Professor in the Department of South and Southeast Asian Studies at UCB. She has researched and written extensively on the history and politics of modern Burma and Cambodia.

Siddharth Varadarajan is a Visiting Lecturer at the Graduate School of Journalism and Associate Editor of The Hindu in New Delhi. He is former foreign editor of The Times of India and a frequent commentator on international affairs.
