Chief of Party – Lebanon

DPK Consulting seeks a qualified senior project manager to serve as Chief of Party on an USAID-funded rule of law project in Lebanon. The project will work to increase the efficiency and independence of the Lebanese judicial system through improved judicial education, increasing the efficiency and transparency of the courts and legal processes, and enabling frameworks that support judicial independence and impartiality.
Requirements:
Extensive international development senior management experience and proven ability to supervise the design, management, and implementation of technical assistance for complex development projects.
Significant technical experience in at least one of the following fields: rule of law, judicial training, judicial independence, court administration or case management, and access to justice.
Familiarity with USAID procurement requirements, including project financial/expenditure tracking, and documentation related to grant and sub-grant management.
Significant management experience with superb leadership and communications skills.
Minimum of 10 years professional experience and at least 5 years of overseas experience at a senior level on development projects.
Professional experience in civil law, as opposed to common law.
Fluency in Arabic and/or French required.
Advanced degree in relevant subject, law degree is preferred.
Previous experience working in the judiciary strongly preferred.
Experience encouraging public engagement to support reform efforts preferred.
Candidates with a sound understanding of development and political issues in the Middle East are preferred.
Prior experience working in Lebanon and/or other Middle Eastern countries preferred.

Requirements:
Candidates must have extensive experience establishing training programs and training judges, including continuing professional education, in a civil law based legal system.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience and at least 3 years of international experience on development projects.
Law degree or an advanced degree in a related field.
Fluency in Arabic and/or French required.
Candidates with a sound understanding of development and political issues in the Middle East are preferred.

The project will work to increase the efficiency and independence of the Lebanese judicial system through improved judicial education, increasing the efficiency and transparency of the courts and legal processes, and enabling frameworks that support judicial independence and impartiality.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in court administration with a minimum of 3 years experience in strengthening and building court administration in an international development environment.
Law degree or an advanced degree in a related field.
Fluency in Arabic and/or French required.
Prior experience working in Lebanon and/or other Middle Eastern countries preferred.
