Description:
Young and ambitious civil liberties and human rights organization seeks focused, creative, flexible and energetic individuals for its summer internship program. The Human Rights Foundation (HRF) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan educational organization devoted to defending human rights and promoting liberal democracy in the Americas. HRF's programs seek to provide education about what constitutes a free society, why freedom matters, and how freedom might best be nurtured, developed, and sustained.
HRF will match individual interns with positions that best match their skills and interests. Possibilities include but are not limited to: program design and implementation, research and reporting, media development, fundraising support and application of Spanish language skills. There will also be clerical and administrative tasks and some data entry.
Qualification:
HRF is looking for independent, dynamic, creative, energetic, and self-motivated students or recent graduates who possess excellent research and communication abilities and who are passionate about defending freedom in the Americas. Judgment, focus, organization, empathy, an ability to work under pressure, and a sense of humor are imperative. Knowledge of Spanish is beneficial but not required.
