Amnesty International (AI) is a worldwide organization working to end human rights violations. As Head of Refugee and Migrant’s Rights Team you will lead in the planning, coordination, development and implementation of Amnesty International’s work on behalf of uprooted people (asylum seekers, refugees, migrants and the internally displaced) and to act as principal policy adviser within the International Secretariat in relation to AI’s refugee and migration work.
You will have in-depth knowledge of International Refugee Law and International legal standards relating to migrants’ rights; extensive knowledge of key global trends, challenges and opportunities for advancing the protection of human rights within the realm of refugee and migrants issues, including the role of inter-governmental organizations (IGOs); research and policy development expertise; experience of managing people, including at a distance; ability to develop and elaborate research standards and methodologies; good interpersonal skills; project management and organisational skills; excellent communication skills. You will have experience of planning, organizing and prioritising work under pressure and to deadlines.
