Challenges to International Humanitarian Law

Challenges to International Humanitarian Law is an intensive course
organized by the Institute for Human Rights at Åbo Akademi University,
in co-operation with the Finnish Red Cross, between 12 and 16 November
2007, in Turku, Finland. Application deadline: 14 September.


The course is intended to provide insights into new developments of,
and challenges to international humanitarian law. International
experts will, inter alia, deal with the interaction between human
rights law, humanitarian law and international criminal law. Issues
such as child soldiers and genocide will also be covered in the
substance of the course.
