Amnesty International, the world's largest human rights organization, is looking for someone with an interest in human rights and music and experience in online communications. This person will support the Make Some Noise project, a new, large-scale global venture using the power of protest music and the involvement of well-known artists to engage young people in human rights issues. As Online Communications Officer, you will take an active role in developing and distributing the messages around this venture. You will have responsibility for communicating through web and e-mail with a global audience of young people interested in music and mobile technology, and helping to nurture their interest in human rights issues and present them with opportunities for activism. You will work with an international team and liaise directly with Amnesty International national offices around the world to share and develop content.
You will have strong experience of editing and updating websites and relevant experience delivering targeted messages to specific audiences in order to grow and develop relationships with them. You will have a general awareness of music and technology industry trends, will have excellent team working and organisational skills, and will bring enthusiasm, attention to detail, and creativity to the project.
