Damanga seeks a coordinator, preferably full-time, who is willing to lead program activities, organize Damanga’s base of support and serve as administrative support to the Executive Director. Excellent organizational and communication skills are required. Person will maintain and develop Damanga’s base of support among activists, students, faith-based organizations, Sudanese refugees and others. Coordinator would work with Executive Director to organize action programs including, letter writing campaigns, newsletters, rallies, and conferences; and to cultivate donors and organize fundraising efforts. Coordinator will draft, edit and proofread reports, speeches and other materials. General Administrative duties would also include: database development; financial bookkeeping, coordinating Damanga’s speaking engagements, coordinating volunteer activities, communicating with the board of trustees, and maintaining and updating Damanga’s website. Full-time preferred, salary is negotiable in the low to mid 20s range. Based in Charlottesville, Virginia.
