Spain: Control Arms international film festival

A new international short film festival, AcTÚa, has been launched in Spain aimed at raising awareness of the Control Arms campaign, while also discovering new cinema talents.

The films will explore the culture of violence, such as perceptions of insecurity and the need for protection; forgotten conflicts; the most vulnerable populations; or victims of violence, especially women and children.

Organised by Intermón Oxfam, the AcTÚa festival will take place between 8-10 June in Madrid. Films up to 30 minutes, made after June 2001 in any language, are eligible
