Physicians for Human Rights – Israel has just issued a new position paper that explains how the Palestinian health system is likely to collapse due to the possible discontinuation of financial support for the Palestinian Authority. "The Palestinian health system is the only framework currently capable of meeting the needs of 3.5 million Palestinians, and cannot be replaced overnight by another system. Lack of funding for this system will lead to the death of thousands of people in the short term, and to extensive morbidity in the long term."
